Beginner's Luck

Yesterday was a blast! Tab and I spent the afternoon at the mall (hehehe), which we haven't done in too long. It was great! We made our last stop the Godiva shop, where I picked up some chocolate covered oreo's for the hubby (I'm on competition diet, not him, lol), and Tab scored my "free piece". I enjoyed smelling the chocolate :-)

In the evening Bill and I headed over to some friends for socializing. You know you've got supportive friends when they plan their dinner menu around what you can eat. They grilled up Salmon and Swai, steamed asparagus, and also had some bbq pork and white rice. They set out a plate of sliced lemons, too. I had a fabulous dinner of fish & veggies! They even seasoned/prepared the fish so that I could enjoy without going off diet! How awesome is that? It was the first time I'd had Swai, and you can be sure it won't be the last! Yum! A few hours later, I had a protein shake and 12 almonds, and my nutrition for the day was complete (and on track).

We played darts all night... I haven't thrown a dart in years. YEARS. And the last time I did, I was told I was banned forevermore. It might have had something to do with rum and impaired aim, but I'm not sayin'.  Bill, also hasn't played in a really long time, but we had a ton of fun, and even won 3 games! Our last game, I was up and hit a bullseye! Woohoo! This left us with 33 points to kill, and I had two more shots. I tossed, hit a tripple 11, and the board say's "WINNER!".  I just kinda stood there, huh? Lol! I didn't have the heart to tell them that I'd actually missed, because I was aiming for the litle red circle in the middle. Hahaha! Gotta love Beginner's Luck!

Today, I'm hitting the gym for a back/biceps workout and some HIIT, then I'm off for my sunday food prep. I'm definitely picking up some Swai!

Happy Sunday!!

  1. I finally tried your "ice cream". it was awesome! I have been having a serious chocolate craving this past week. I told my trainer I wanted a chocolate chip cookie and she told me I could have 4 chocolate chips, not cookie, chips! she's a riot! anyway, thanks for the recipe! I take BCAA's for recovery and I'm going to try making them into jello. I'll let you know how that turns out! Thanks, again, Chelle. You are an inspiration for me and I always come here when my motivation is low and you always help. :)
