I killed my HIIT cardio last night! woot! 30 minutes of intervals followed by 10 of steady state. I was a sweaty mess. The hubby was laughing when I walked in soaked... definitely wasn't the dri-fit technology sports bra, my whole shirt was dripping. Lol! I stretched, caught my breath, and proceeded to unwind for a few minutes when Tab called and during the course of our conversation reminded me that I needed to eat... NOW. ROFL! So I ate... 5 oz baked swai with 1 cup steamed zucchini and I felt human again. A couple hours later it was ice-cream time! Favorite time of the day for me! I went the chocolate peanut butter route, and it was super extra creamy... probably because the chocolate almond milk had been in the fridge? Whatever the reason, it was awesome and I was very sad to take the last bite.
Up at 5am, suckin' down coffee. I hit the gym for some cardio. Steady state was the game this morning, and I utilized my new cardio playlist... I'll be making a few tweaks to it, but it's definitely got some good rhythm. 45 minutes later, I stretched and headed home for fuel. Had a Zucchini protein muffin, while I baked up a batch of the Blueberry ones, caught up on a few emails, then loved every bite of my 3 fresh muffins. I'm really going to miss them when I start the new diet.

I'm pretty excited, I stepped out of my comfort zone yesterday and sent the recipe for my muffins, and the recipes for my protein ice cream to Oxygen magazine yesterday. I also submitted my Mini Chicken Loaves recipe to Clean Eating magazine. (http://billandchelle.com/fitness/recipes.html#Chelles_Chicken_Mini_Loaves). How cool it would be to have those featured!
Which reminds me... It's almost time for MY Oxygen magazine! The August issue will hit the stands in about 3 weeks, and I'm one of the featured Success Stories! WootWoot! :-) Soooooo excited!!
I've got a million things to do today, including a leg workout with Tab this afternoon after I drop Bethy off at Tumbling practice. Then it'll be date night! And... I didn't have to suggest it! The hubby told me this morning that he really wants to take me out tonight... !!! Huh! who are you and what have you done with my husband? LOL.
I've got some baking to do this weekend, some recipes to test, and my usual Sunday food prep. Then Monday we're hosting a 4th of July bbq. Delegation is the word of the day. Lol! We'll be grilling steaks, zucchini & portabello mushrooms, plus we'll have corn on the cob, snacky foods, and desserts. My food will all be my normal fare, though I might get to trade a snack for an extra bowl of ice cream, lol! Yay for protein!
Monday is The Day. Progress photos and measurements. While I'm always uncomfortable with photos, lol, I'm not worried. My nutrition is spot-on, my workouts are run by the WGT (World's Greatest Trainer), and I can see changes in the mirror. Tomorrow marks 8 weeks until show. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone.
