Food Today

Slowly but surely, things are settling back into normal. Saturday night was the first night my calves and hamstrings didn't cramp up during the night. Sunday the last of the soreness faded (show posing leaves you REALLY sore for a REALLY long time!). Of course, then I went and overdid it at the gym so I'm really, really sore today. I blame the guys in the gym. Buggers.  If they hadn't smirked at me when I entered the free-weight area, I wouldn't have felt honor bound to wipe that smirk off their faces. If I hadn't felt honor bound to wipe that smirk away, I wouldn't be so stinkin sore today! LOL! However, they no longer smirk.  I now smirk. Ha!  :-)

Last night I put together my food for today...

Breakfast: 1/2 cup plain oatmeal mixed with 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, cinnamon, and 2 Tbsp NuttZo nut butter, plus half a grapefruit.
Snack 1: 1 cup plain greek yogurt with 2 Tbsp homemade granola and 1/4 cup blueberries.
Lunch: 4 oz chicken breast, 1/2 cup Seeds of Change Whole Grains mix, steamed snow peas & tomatoes with coconut oil.
Snack 2: Protein powder pudding with 1/2 cup blackberries (protein powder pudding - 1 cup water, 2 scoops chocolate protein powder -my scoop = 1/3 cup, 1 Tbsp almond butter blended then chilled).
Dinner: (not shown) 4 oz chicken breast with 2 cups steamed cauliflower (orange, purple, white).

Once it was all gathered, I added my supplements in a little baggie, then tossed the whole shebang in a big ziploc and into the fridge so I could easily load up my cooler in the morning...

Here's my fitday info...

As far as activity... I did 45 minutes of steady state cardio this morning; I'll go back and do a light leg day after work. I want to be careful with my knees, so this week's cardio will all be steady state. I plan on reintroducing HIIT next week, if all goes well, or at least the elliptical. We'll see how they handle leg day today, and go from there. I've got a lot of building to do in that area before I do another show, but my knees must be healthy to build my legs & rear. That's priority. I began a new supplement last night and am anxious to see if it helps.

Happy Tuesday!!
