Did you survive the food fest?

The holiday is over, the fridge is full of leftovers, and life is returning to normal. Well, as normal as our life gets, lol!  My turkey was awesome (if I do say so myself... and I do), and I enjoyed a slice of pumpkin pie, and a slice of apple pie (caramel apple) - though not at once, lol. My other splurge this holiday meal was the gravy... I usually steer very clear of gravy because of the sodium, but this year it was soooo tasty! I added a package of mushrooms (sauteed in 1 Tbsp butter with a splash of Worcestershire) to the simmering gravy and oh it was good!

While we missed having Shiloh home (she's in CA and flies back home tonight, yay!!), it was nice to have a quiet day, just the family.

No black friday shopping for us, we slept in and used the internet to begin our holiday shopping. Bethany and I ventured out later in the day to meet up with Tabitha (who now has the world's coolest hair - I'm soooo jealous!), and we wandered a bit before heading back home. Mostly we gawked at the crazy people who'd been at the mall since the wee hours of the morning. :-)

Back home, I worked, then we headed to Bill's dad's house... Sandi is in town! YAY!! Sandi is Bill's sister, and we went to high school together, the three of us. We don't get to see each other but once a year, so it was awesome to get together! She's in town for Grandma's 90th birthday, which we celebrated last night. 90... how cool is that??

Today is grocery shopping, food prep, laundry, then picking up Shiloh and her boyfriend at the airport - really, who thought a 10pm arrival time was a good idea???  Then the week begins again.  Our Study gals are doing incredible! We'll have new updates to post shortly, along with some new comments for the Support page. Woot!

Before I sign off and get to shopping & prepping... do you have a ton of leftover turkey? Here's a yummy recipe to use up some of it... http://billandchelle.com/fitness/recipes.html#Leftover_Turkey_Burrito-chiladas

Happy Sunday!
