Slam, Bam, Thank you, Ma'am.
Anyway. Sunday food prep is done. I hit the stores this morning, took my time with the prep, and now it's all put away. I did enjoy using my 3-pot crockpot :-) It was awesome!!!!
Here's what I've got: proteins... chicken breast (of course), beef top sirloin roast (killer sale!!), chicken sausage & ground beef (for the stuffed eggplant), New York steak (again sale, I'll cut it into strips for stirfry), chicken sausage (andouille), hard boiled eggs (cheated, bought them ready to go), greek yogurt, cottage cheese. Starchy Carbs: Red beets, Sweet potatoes, new potatoes, black beans. Veggies: zucchini, green beans, snow peas & grape tomatoes, asparagus, red peppers, mushrooms, eggplant, carrots, broccoli slaw (for stirfry with steak strips). Fruit: grapefruit, apples, bananas, blueberries, blackberries. Fat: raw almonds, avocado, olive oil. Snacks for the family: Stacy's Cinnamon/Sugar Pita Chips (yes, they're clean), POPS BBQ chips (clean again), Pretzel sticks (yes, indeed... clean!), string cheese, chobani individual fruit yogurts, variety of Kashi granola bars.
We are fully stocked. If one person tells me, "but there's no food!!!" I might have to take them down. What they mean is there's not enough of their preferred non-food-food. Ugh. Eat an apple, shut up. Lol. Yes, I'm cranky. Nothing they've never seen before, lol.
