Stripped is not a bar, and Tosca Reno is not a place

I'm at the bowling alley last night. My day is nearly over... it started at 5am, then my 6:30 am workout, then work, then Abs class, then 40 minutes of cardio, then clean up, then heading to the bowling alley ...  It's 9pm and the guys are almost done. I can see the end of the tunnel... It's almost over! Protein Ice Cream, Bed!

This is what I'm thinking when someone taps me on the shoulder and says, "Where's Tosca Reno?"

huh? Um... I don't have her schedule handy, but... ???

Seeing the look on my face, he gently taps the back of my shirt (like I might be a little slow), and repeats the question. [I was wearing one of my favorite Tosca Reno/Eat Clean Diet t-shirts.]

My daughter (Bethany) starts laughing. "No," she manages, "not where, WHO."  The gentlemen is looking at both of us like we're nuts, as I'm now laughing because I've just gotten it.

He says, "I have property in Reno, but I've never heard of Tosca, where is that?"

Bethany, starts repeating "Who, Who" until I'm tempted to stick a Tootsie Pop in her mouth to shut her up. I explain that Tosca is a person, not a place, and that she's the author of a book called Stripped.

"Oh," he said. "I thought Stripped was a bar."

After an extended discussion once the hilarity died down, he and his wife will be picking up a copy of The Eat Clean Diet Recharged today. :-)

My job here is done.

below is the t-shirt I was wearing...

  1. Awe that's cute :) Did you tell him that he is probably in for a different kind of fun with the clean eating diet than he was looking for at a bar called Stripped in Reno, NV?

  2. Thats really funny : )

put a huge smile on my face hahah

  3. LOL, that was funny, Chelle. I definitely need one of those shirts. Have a great weekend!!
PS. I have not tried my ice cream machine again, but I will let you know when I do. Maybe it was just a fluke. ; )
