I'm Here!

Sorry! I know I've been MIA since Friday's post. It's been crazy-busy around here!!! A lot of the crazy-busy is related to the awesome things comin' soon for RecipeForFitness.com  Woot! Saturday I attended Tab's seriously-kick-my-butt Total Body Conditioning class. Then I was off for my appointment with the Hair God, Daniel - I was not aware that my hair could get shorter in the back. It can. Lol! Sorry, Bill!

Later that day Tab and I met for a pow-wow on the absolute fabulousness (yes, it's a word, cuz I just used it) we've got headed your way. This super-productive meeting may or may not have included sharing a Paradise Bakery blondie (and not sharing a chocolate chip cookie). I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

Sunday was my food prep day, but before I grocery shopped, I had way too much fun hitting Michael's - I came home with the coolest door hanger! I'll have to get a picture of it to post tomorrow. Here's food pics...
Baggies with 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 scoop protein powder and
1 tsp cinnamon. Containers with 1 Tbsp NuttZo.
Freshly grilled chicken. What you don't see here is my big
boxer, Nakki, sitting at my feet the whole time I was
cooking these, with the, haha, puppy-dog
eyes beggin' for a taste.

Cooked and ready to be portioned out.

A whole-lotta chicken! Chicken breast tenders, grilled
on the Foreman Grill then portioned out (4 oz portions).
Veggies in steamer bags, chicken portioned out, oatmeal packets ready...
Good to go!
This brings me to yesterday...

That really is only 1/2 a cup of brown rice, but on the plate
it spreads. Also featured here (lol) 4 oz of grilled chicken
breast and 1.5 cups steamed veggies.
After work I hit up Tab's TBC class at 5:30. KILLER class! It was awesome!!! I burned 435 calories! Woot! And today - I am so freakin' sore! I say it often - you get out of it, what you put into it. Well, I put my all into last night's class. It was the BEST way to get out all my frustrations, and I felt fantastic afterwards (and sweaty, lol!). Following class, Tab and I had another meeting over hot dogs (yes, indeed they were clean!).

Today's food:
Breakfast: Apple Pie Oatmeal and half a grapefruit
Snack1: 4 oz grilled chicken breast, apple and kombucha
Lunch: 4 oz grilled chicken breast, 1.5 cups steamed veggies, 3 oz steamed potatoes
Snack2: 6 oz Chobani vanilla 0% greek yogurt and raw almonds
Dinner (not pictured): BBQ Beef in pitas and salad
Mega-Uber-Yummage! Apple Pie Oatmeal!
 A couple weeks ago, I saw Kombucha in the store and realized I could drink this again! During competition prep, it was out because of the carbonation. I picked up a couple bottles, put them in my fridge and promptly forgot all about them! Oops! This morning I was so excited to put one in my cooler (yeah, I'm a dork). At snack time I eagerly pulled it out...

And it did this... REALLY????? Not cool, Kombucha! Not Cool.


By the way... Get ready...

  2. Made the granola last night. Delicious!! Packed some for my Chobani snack and for my daughter's lunch box. She loved it too. My son... he's thinking about it.
