Yay for Friday!

Can you believe we're nearly done with August?? Crazy, right? Here in Scottsdale, we're right smack dab in the middle of Monsoon season (wasn't that supposed to be June??) and getting hit with amazing light shows and torrential rains (this is AZ - if it's more than condensation on our windshields, it's considered torrential). While I'm loving the storms, the mugginess can take a hike. No bueno for the hair. Lol.

My efforts to reboot my fitness are in full (and painful) swing. I'm getting the cardio in and improving every session, and though the shoulder is still causing roadblocks, I'm learning there are always other ways to get the muscle work done.

Yesterday's cardio took place in that frame of mind we all detest - total lack of motivation. T.O.T.A.L. Ugh. I very much did not want to do it, but I drug my protesting self to the gym, climbed on the stairmaster, started it up, slid the power button on my iPod and heard... "beep, beeeep, beeeeep". Crudola. Dead. I'm being punished, aren't I? 30 minutes of stairmaster torture without music. Noooooooooooooooo! Yes. But... I got it done. And being me, because I was so mad about not wanting to be there AND not having my tunes, I worked even harder and left with quivering hamstrings and quads. I'm perverse like that. Lol!

Back home I enjoyed my stuffed eggplant and got to work.

Sort of. I got sidetracked playing in Photoshop CS6. Darn those brushes! I learned how to turn text into a brush and spent the rest of the afternoon experimenting. My results are quite amateur, I know, but still... fun! The text you see below are the lyrics to Adelita's Way, Alive, which is one of "our" songs. Fun, right? ;-) Today, though, I seriously will be working. Seriously. I promise.

  1. That image is so very cool. And definitely no bueno for 30 minutes cardio with no music! What to crank it out though!

    1. Eggplant is surely very much tasty to be eaten and other than taste it is very much beneficial in terms of nutrition included. Some of the nutrition coming in the eggplant include chlorogenic acid, nasunin, fiber, vitamins and minerals as well. These all provide a lot of nutritional benefits to the user so that these are preferred to be used.
